Blitz XI is a free-to-play fantasy cricket game. There is no real money in the app: no entry fees, no deposits, no purchases, no prizes, and you can’t cash anything out. This policy explains, in plain language, what personal data we collect, why, how we use it, and your choices. For players in India, this also serves as our notice and consent request under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
Who we are
Blitz XI is run by an independent solo developer based in Melbourne, Australia (the “data fiduciary”/data controller). You can reach us any time at contact.blitzxi@gmail.com, including to exercise your rights or raise a concern.
What we collect
- Your Google sign-in. When you sign in with Google we receive your email address, name, and profile picture link, used to create and identify your account.
- Your game activity. The teams you draft, your fantasy scores, leagues you join, cards you collect, and your rank. Everything needed to run the game.
- Basic device & technical data. Standard information such as device/browser type and approximate region, used to keep the app working and secure and to detect abuse, fraud, or duplicate accounts.
- Notifications. If you turn on push notifications, we store the token your browser gives us so we can send them.
What we do NOT collect
- No payment, financial, or banking details (the app takes no payments).
- No identity documents.
- No contacts, photos, or files from your device.
- We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
How we use your data, and our legal basis
We use your data only to run Blitz XI: to sign you in, save your teams and progress, show leaderboards and leagues, send notifications you opted into, keep the service secure, and understand and improve how the app is used. We rely on your consent (given when you sign in and use the app) as our legal basis, and we only use your data for these purposes.
Who we share it with
We share data only with the service providers who help us run the app, and only so they can do so on our behalf: Google (sign-in), Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), and a web-push service (for notifications you enable). We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.
Where it's stored & international transfer
Your data is stored and processed on servers located in Australia (Sydney). If you are in India or elsewhere, using Blitz XI means your data is transferred to and processed in Australia. It is protected by per-user access rules so other players only see what the game is meant to show (like your public username and rank).
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to run and secure the service. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your personal data (except anything we must keep for legal or security reasons).
Your rights & choices
- Access a copy of your data, or ask us to correct it.
- Ask us to delete your account and its data.
- Withdraw your consent (this ends your ability to use the game).
- Turn notifications off any time in your browser or device settings.
- Raise a concern or complaint about how we handle your data. If you are in India, you may also complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
To exercise any of these, email us at contact.blitzxi@gmail.com.
Cookies & on-device storage
The app stores your in-progress draft on your own device so a refresh doesn’t lose your work, and uses cookies/local storage for sign-in. It does not use third-party advertising cookies.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your data, including per-user access rules on our database and encryption in transit. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we work to keep your data safe and will act on any breach as required by law.
Children
Blitz XI is intended for players aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us their data, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy as the app develops. Material changes will be noted here with a new date; where the law requires, we will ask for your consent again.
